LOOKING GLASS HOUSE
The home is located on a downslope site in the Oakland Hills with expansive views of the Bay. DDB built a minimal and contemporary home which celebrates the Bay views – using as much glass as possible while maintaining privacy from neighbors. The dramatic views are immediately celebrated through the dining room with glass on both sides allowing views through the home. Upon entering the home, the living room projects out, cantilevering off the hillside to float above the slope below.
